'Squire' Wiebe(l) Name on Pedigree 'Makoi Feherarany Cortez'
To us it was immediately obvious that the youngest stud in the Empire would not keep his pedigreed name. The spanish name Cortez was not appealing to us, but we had not thought about another name seriously yet. Allthoug names like Borre, Wob and the frisian (which is from the northern provence of Holland) Wiebe had crossed our minds. But Cortez came into the Empire with a floppy ear, a wobbling ear you could say. The dutch word for wobbling is wiebelen. As one can see, part of this word is also Wiebe, this frisian name. So Cortez changed into Wiebe(l) with the l between ( and ). Because Wiebe is an official name but Wiebel is a nickname and so we use these two names just how it comes. Most of the time it is Wiebel allthough his ear is no longer a wobbling one. To the little squire (of Sir Lancelot) it does not matter which name we use, he listens to both of them. Concerning conformation Wiebe(l) a very beautiful, breedtypical (although his color will be disqualifying to showstandards) quy. He is square, broadschoulderd, sturdy and relatively small, just like his dad! The only (but very little) disappointment is the lack of pigment on the nose, but this at the same time is also his charming. We sometimes call it ´face of an old man without his teeth....´ It makes us grin. Wiebe(l) also is a very healthy and playfull guy. Allthough it seemed that when he was a little puppy he got his tempers, he is becoming much more like an adult man, trying to think before he acts... But he still loves to be very active, jumping around, running circles around Lancelot and making a lot of noice by barking at the same time. He then is so merry, he just has to do like that. You can see the sparkle in his eyes. Wiebe(l) is also very fond of people and other dogs. We have high expectations from this friendly, playfull guy. Wiebe(l) is dd and will inherit blue frenchies with blue and bluecarrier ladies. Wiebe(l) is availabe as studmale for breedtypical health tested females outside our kennel.
